Riverview Park

Things to Do in Riverview Park

Riverview Park is a jewel of Pittsburgh’s North Side. Created in 1894, the park predates the City of Allegheny’s annexation to the City of Pittsburgh in 1907 and has been enjoyed by its citizens for well over a century.

Today’s Riverview Park is known for its dense woodlands and steep topography, ideal for urban exploration along its many hiking trails. The 259-acre park is the fourth largest park in the City of Pittsburgh and is included in the Regional Parks Master Plan. Park Ranger Nancy Schaefer is located onsite at the Visitor Center to provide educational information about the park, answer visitors’ questions or offer recommendations on the best way visitors can enjoy Riverview Park’s recreational activities.

Now more than ever, fun and family-friendly outdoor spaces are essential, and Riverview Park has many opportunities for recreation, fitness and social gatherings.
